Mural – Apple Festival

The Story Behind the Mural

The third mural commissioned by the Revitalize 62966 Art in the Community Committee is a tribute to the Apple Festival. The art commemorates the heritage of the Festival: the parade, complete with majestic marching bands and the glamorous Queen’s court, the bounty of the local orchards, and the rich history of this yearly event. This highly anticipated annual celebration brings together families, friends, and visitors, and highlights our town’s warm, friendly, and welcoming atmosphere.

This mural was made possible through the generous donations from Murphysboro Apple Festival and REAL Church.
