Mural – 12th and Walnut

THE STORY BEHIND THE MURAL

The fifth mural commissioned by the Revitalize62966: Art in The Community committee brings a whimsical look at encounters in the wild. Used to detect the movement of game in nature, this motion-sensing trail-camera shot of wildlife (with Lake Murphysboro in the background) captures a moment painted in the artists’ realistic detailed style. The painter researched even the rhetoric surrounding the mural (mimicking a photograph’s time-stamp) for life-cycle accuracy.

This mural was funded by a generous donation from Linda Herrold.
